We invited all the girls to join us at Pam and Jay's beach house in Santa Cruz, but the only takers were Jennie and Robert and their family. We had such a great time at the beach house and enjoyed our vacation there.
We took several bike rides around the Capitola and Santa Cruz areas. We stopped to watch the surfers.
This one crazy house actually looks like it is hanging off the cliff edge practically.
We went one morning to the Farmer's Market to buy some fresh fruit and veggies for our Father's Day BBQ. Zachary found a cute baby chick.
Hanging at the beach. It was almost too cool without a light sweatshirt even in June - crazy
Kelsie is part fish and loves to swim. She was always looking for someone to
hang out with her in the ocean.
Richard and his wife Roselle drove up with Pam and met us at the beach house for the Father's Day BBQ. It was the first time that we had met Roselle and so we were excited to spend some time together and get to know her a little bit. They seem really happy.

Too funny and very much an Ellie purchase.
Zachary tried to use a scurfer (not sure if I spelled that right)
Mason tried the scurfer too but really had more fun playing in the waves.Hanging at the beach. It was almost too cool without a light sweatshirt even in June - crazy

Zachary bought this big sling shot at the Farmer's Market
so Robert and Kim tried it out. Boys will be boys.
The girls went to the thrift store and Ellie came home with this coconut/wool costume thing. Too funny and very much an Ellie purchase.
We tried to get one group picture at the beach house using the timer on the camera.
We rode our bikes over the Capitola and took the kids to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
Their first ride was a little scary for Mason but all the kids liked it.
Hanging out on the boardwalk together.
