It really is a sign that your granddaughter is getting older when a special date means lunch at Panera and a shopping trip to the mall for new clothes. Briton will be starting high school next year and is excited for a new challenge. She is going to be on Student Council and is looking forward to the change that high school will bring.
It was so much fun to go to spend an afternoon with her. I have to be honest, I thought Kim was going to explode. He kept saying, "Soooooo, you girls about done" -- he is a little predictable. We finally talked him into sitting on the bench outside the store to enjoy people watching while we finished up. See's gives out free samples and then Kim picked up some of his favorite chocolates to munch on, so that was a perk. Briton got some cute new shirts that she asked me to hold on to until school starts.
