Oktoberfest

Annual Oktoberfest 2012. 

It was perfect that Jennie was in town working so even though we missed

 all her family in Texas we were able to enjoy the evening with her. 

 

We did a carmel apple bar again this year which is fun and a yummy treat.  The best part is all the wonderful  spooky goodies that everyone brings.  Leslie made Mummy Dogs and pretzel and mini marshmallows covered in white chocolate so they looked like bones,  Amy made jalapeno pinwheels at everyones request, Allison tried a new recipe of cake pops and some macaroni and cheese for the kids.   I made a Italian Tortellini Salad, hummus and pita chips, warm brie with cheese and crackers, and some green lime aide 7-up punch and then the carmel apple bar.  It was just the right amount of food this year.

 Allison the birthday girl - October 29th! 

Chad gave Allison a pink gun and some shooting ear muff things. 

She was top shot after all last year.

 Leslie the birthday girl on October 31st.

We gave Leslie a new tennis skirt for her birthday.  Leslie and Allison and I take a lesson together on Monday mornings and then play a few practice games on Friday mornings.  It has been so much fun spending time doing something active.

 The boys took their shirts off for some very serious bobby for apples.

 Street tennis was a big hit.  What a perfect afternoon!

I was surprised at how well the little boys did a tennis.  Every time a car went by we had to move our trash can string net but no one seemed to mind.
