Oktoberfest 2011

Jennie flew in for the weekend to work so she was able to be at our Oktoberfest.  We wanted to make sure and get a photo of our girls because we are not sure if everyone will be here again next year.  We loved having her with us these past few days.

 David, Chad and Dad had to give it a try too.  We missed Robert and his boys for this crazy activity. 
This is right up their alley.

Such mature older men.  Joseph was a "no" on the bobbing for apples but we all had a great time.

 Vance and I made these cookies earlier in the week.  He just knew that we needed to make some sugar cookies.  He ended up taking some of them for his little pre-school class too.

 Allison tried this recipe of Grandma LaRue Sutton for Gooey Chex Mix.  It is totally addicting

Leslie went crazy with cooking this year too.  She made 5 appetizers that were all delicious.

 Grandma LaRue Sutton made these cute spider cream filled cookies.  There were some left over so Amy was able to use them for her little Pre-School class this week.

 A family favorite brought by Amy were the Jalapeno Pinwheels.  This spicy warm appetizer was gone in a flash.  Amy and Allison outdid themselves with the appetizers this year.

 Aunt Leslie loves baby Keller.  I can't believe Leslie got the baby away from Briton.

Aspen and Briton are so good with baby Keller.  We missed having Kelsie, Zachary and Mason visiting with their cousins at the Oktoberfest.  Jennie has assured me that she is having an Oktoberfest of her own in Texas with a few of their friends.  She borrowed by Bingo Game and a few other items for her get together.

 Allison tried a couple new receipes -- pumpkin cinnamon rolls and pumkin pecan cake.

Halloween Bingo has become a "must play" game with prizes for the first bingo and for blackout. 

Amy game me this little game called "Don't Eat Frank" that she has been doing with her pre-school students.  Colton and Vance especially loved it, but even the older boys had fun with it.
