Robert started first at 9:00 a.m.
Each participant swims, bikes, and then runs at the distance they signed up for.
Robert was a Sprint, Jennie did the adult beginner, Zachary and Kelsie did the children's sprint, and Mason the children's beginner. The whole Ogden family did the Turkey Triathalon -
Kim and I added support and cheers along the course.
Mason and Kelsie cheering their Dad along the running course.
Robert got a new bike before his last event this year. He did really well on the bike section too.
Jennie in line to begin her swim event
Swimming is so much harder than it looks. It is really tiring.
Jennie did good and was happy she didn't drown.
The bike and running part of the race is where Jennie felt more comfortable.
The first part was a big hill. Ugh!
Jennie and the guy next to her kept pace throughout the run and encouraged each other to finish strong!
Now it was the kids turn
Kelsie and Zachary waiting in line with the other kids for the sprint to begin
Mason stayed right by a Katilyn who is the daughter of a friend of Jennie's from High School.
The kids waiting for the event to begin in line around the pool
Zachary on the last leg of the run
Kelsie (in the blue) almost done!
Mason finished up at the top of his age group. The little girl in the blue is his triathalon buddy.
Long hard day, but they all did so terrific. We are really proud of them all. Just getting all the kids gear together was a major production of Jennie and Robert.
The kids were so excited to do this that Kim and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
Jennie and Robert's friends the Anderson's. Michelle was the one who talked Jennie into doing this event with her family. Jennie went to school with Ryan and Michelle.
Hot and tired but - Kelsie did it!
Zachary was feeling sick to his stomach at the end of the race - he did great
Mason was super excited and was practically bouncing in line to get started.
The end
