"M" lights the nation's largest tree

Photo from the balcony of the restaurant. The M is a fairly new hotel in Las Vegas and this season that celebrated by hosting a tree lighting of the nation's largest tree. There were performances on the huge outdoor stage as well as cocoa and candy canes for the kids.

This isn't a great photo but you can see the 4 women who played some old school rock songs on their string instruments.

Gayle and Steve invited us to join them for a night out. We ate dinner and then watched the tree lights from the balcony. A little chilly outside but Kim found an area with overhead heaters. Perfect.
The holiday decorations inside the hotel were beautiful.

They had a gingerbread house contest with entries from many local Elementary Schools. The one that won was a completely edible tree house. Very cool. This is the gingerbread village done by the pastry chefs at the M. It was massive and impressive.
