Color Me Rad 5k

Allison is the only one who had done a 5k before.  Here goes nothing!
Kim's brother Chad and his wife Lisa participated too.  We didn't know they were running so that was fun to see them there.
Amy at her house getting ready to take off for her first 5k with Logan and Brayden
We all ran together for the first little bit and then Logan and Brayden took off running with Allison and her friend Ashley.  The boys lead our pack for sure.  Way to go Logand and Brayden.
You can see Brayden in the bottom left corner.  He ran right past Grandpa and Chad who were taking photos.  No way was he going to stop for a quick pic.
Vance's job was to get our group with the color bombs that I bought earlier that week.  He had fun trying to spray his Mom.  It was a little breezy so doing this job was a little bit tricky.
Ashley and Allison --  such shy young women
When Allison asked me if i wanted to do the 5k I told her that if someone would stay in back with me and walk - jog then I would try it.  Amy was a great partner.  Thanks Amy!!!!
It was a chilly so we weren't sure how many layers we might need.
Amy and Allison at the end of the 5k
Great ending
Amy and her two oldest boys Logan and Brayden.  Great job all the way around.
Amy said that Brayden had been practicing running fast this past week.  Too cute.  The boys just finished playing tackle football so it is safe to say they are in pretty good shape.
The powder color bombs were so much fun.  Along the race they had areas you would run through and the race staff would either spray liquid color or take handfuls and toss the powder color your way.  Everyone was coated with a rainbow.  What a fun event for my first 5k.
The last bomb blast at the end of the race.   After doing this initial 5k I think that maybe I'll do it again, it was fun and with some more cardio training I could do even better.
Thank Amy, Allison, Brayden and Logan for doing it with me.
As always, Kim was there to offer his support! He is the best.
